(A story of Bimpe)

Bimpe’s parents who were overjoyed to have their daughter back had failed to realize that something was wrong.

In the bathroom, Bimpe cried as the shower ran over her back. She wished the water will wash away the pain. More thoughts kept running through her mind. Could there still be God, if there is one, then, she had fornicated. “Ahh.... Bimpe, you had sex some days ago, the same thing she preached against.” She was confused and did not know what to call it. “Will God be angry at her for having premarital sex, will she be able to recover?”, more thoughts ran to through her mind.

Will God count it as sin? Maybe it’s not a sin, but how could she wash away the guilt? Will her husband-to-be or people believe her story? Tears ran from her eyes as these thoughts ran through her mind.

Her skin was scrubbed hard to wash away the filth and guilt, but it brought no peace. She washed off the blood that had stained her underwear and came to the dining for her food.

It was at that point her mum studied her once cheerful daughter and suspected something was wrong. She observed her for some minutes and realized that all was not well. At that point, she wept on the inside. She was not sure about what had happened to her daughter.

When she was done eating, she called her, “Bimpe, what happened?”

She looked at her mother and kept quiet. She could not find the words to speak up. Her mum asked her to stand up, but she did not budge. Her mum stood up and pulled her up. She studied her daughter’s body to check for signs of physical abuse, but saw none.

She wished her worst fear had not happened. She asked her, “Bimpe, what happened? Did they touch you?”.

Bimpe kept silent and said nothing. Her father, who sat in the living room, turned his head towards their direction to hear her response.

Bimpe’s mother who was getting worried asked her again, “Did they touch you?” This time a bit aggressive out of fear.

Bimpe realised she was causing a scene in the house and replied her mum. “Yes mum, they did” as she broke down in tears.

Her mum went silent and said nothing. Tears gushed down from her face. Her dad sank back in his chair and became sad. He had no words to utter as he was hurt and also speechless.

First Episode of Bimpe Story

Bimpe’s mum looked at her and sobbed. She felt pity and pain in her heart. “God, you must punish them. They must not go Scot free”, she said in between sobs.

She got hold of herself while raining curses on her daughter’s kidnappers. She took her daughter into her room .

Bimpe whose tears were flowing down her cheeks acted like a robot as she was pulled and pushed towards the bed.

She raised her gown and checked her daughter’s genitals as she wept. She cleaned her tears and asked Bimpe what happened?

In between tears, Bimpe told her mum the whole ordeal. Her mum consoled her and told her not to worry, that it will be alright as she hugged her.

The next morning Bimpe’s mum took her to the hospital for medical check up. At the hospital she stared at the doctor, expecting some kind of help like the lame man who sat at the beautiful gate.

After the physical checks had been done on her, she was asked to meet a counsellor. She never got the relief she was looking for from the counsellor. “Maybe time will heal her heart”, so she thought.

On their way home, they met a friend of her mum who gave them a lift. While her mum and her friend chatted, as her mum decided not to speak about what happened to Bimpe in front of her. Bimpe listened to the message that played from the CD player.

She believed that the world made little sense to her, and all that remained was for her to keep living her life like a zombie with no focus.

While she listened to the message, as she tried to forget the entire experience of the horrible night which had clung to her mind since the incident, she heard the preacher say “God can still save, if you believe”.

First Episode of Bimpe Story

She got pissed off hearing the preacher, but somehow she forced herself to listen to the trash he had to spill from his mouth. She said in her heart, if only God had disappointed him before, peradventure he will pick up another profession and stop preaching.

The preacher spoke about how the Hebrew boys were saved from the fire. He elaborated on the fact that God did not save them before they were thrown into the fire, but after they were thrown in.

He said, “God is not in a hurry to show his power, he has his reasons. If he had acted before they were thrown in, then the God of the Hebrew boys would not have been magnified before their eyes.

He also spoke about Jesus responding to the sickness of Lazarus after 4 days when it was obvious that he was already dead.

“If Christ had just healed him when he was sick. People who came from afar for his burial would not have been around to see the awesomeness of God glory. And they had reasons to praise God more when they found out that Jesus did not just heal the sick but also raise a man up from the dead after 4 days, when his body was already decaying,” he said.

If Peter was not saved before he entered the prison then it obvious God has grand plans for us, when we think there is no hope. If he could shake the prison foundation and open the chains that held Paul and Silas bound, after they had been flogged then he will always save his own.

God can never be late, he knows the best time for everything. He only needs us to keep believing. He sees an end we can never. We must always believe in God.

What we call “late” in man’s terminology means the end of man (self). And it is at such moments that God wants to start, if we will believe in him and call on him. The beginning of God is the end of man’s effort.

The words that Bimpe heard melted her soul, and she saw reasons to have hope. At that point, it was obvious she had made an error. She had lost hope in God. She stopped believing in God just because of her virginity, yet they were men who had lost their hands, legs, eyes and even their head and yet they never changed their confession of Christ at death.

Bimpe bowed her head and cried. She felt bad for the things she had said to herself about God. She asked the all merciful God for mercy, for denying him, and asked him to heal her.

At that point, the pain in her heart left and she saw a new light. She realized that the Hebrew boys said we know that our God is able to save us BUT EVEN IF HE DOES NOT SAVE US, WE WILL NOT BOW.

She prayed and asked God to help her not to bow to the circumstances of life but constantly keep her faith in Christ.

Bimpe cleaned her tears and praised God in her heart for the relief. When she got home, she went to her room to give him praise. She praised him with songs till she could feel the very presence and power of God in her room.

It was at that point that Jesus appeared in her room. When she saw him, she was scared because of his glory and the brightness of his personality. Jesus asked her not to be scared and said, I am the Son of God who was made flesh.

She was dumbfounded and did not know what to do or say but kept staring at him. Jesus looked at her with love. And said, “I love you and will not stop loving you”. As he said those words, she saw God’s love in a flash, from the time of her birth till that very moment. It was evident that God had been in control of her life.

She wept and was grateful. He held her close and told her he had grand plans for her and showed her what she was to become and do for him.

Her assignment was to restore those who have been wounded and have fallen by the wayside. All those who have lost hope in life or have been traumatised by various events in their life, including rape victims.

She was instructed her to share her story when necessary and he would give the words in her mouth life, that people will see his saving power.

He laid his hands on her lips and poured oil on her head from a jar that appeared out of nowhere. “I send you amongst wolves but you will overcome and I will be with you.”, He said.

After the instructions, he told her he would send people to her and she would know what to do in every situation she finds herself in (she would have a solution to every of their problem).

He admonished her not to lose faith no matter what happens, but to trust the Holy Spirit to see her through. After the instructions, he disappeared.

She praised God for some more minutes and put all she had heard into writing.

When she came out of her room, she shared her experience with her mum and her mum praised God. It was evident that Bimpe had an encounter as the smile and glow on her face was visible. She was so joyful.

The next day in school, her classmates who heard she was kidnapped came around to ask her what happened. She had to tell them after school hours. It was at that point, the Holy Spirit took over as she narrated her ordeal.

She told them how she was raped, and how pained she was initially, but was happy that God still loved her and has healed her heart. She told them she is not angry with her assailant any more since she had forgiven him. And had prayed that God will shine his light on him.

As she kept speaking, her friends broke down in tears and shared their own ordeal of how they had been raped or how someone had killed a relative of theirs and how they said they would not forgive them.

They wept because they saw they were the ones suffering because of unforgiveness. They all shared their different predicaments.

When they were all done, Bimpe prayed for them. And they sang worship songs together. While singing, the Holy Ghost baptised everyone of them and they prophesied and spoke in tongues.

Bimpe just knelt and kept praising God in tongues for what he was doing. She saw visions of other persons she would need to meet in school and church while praising God. And some others who will also come to her.

When her friends got home, their parents knew that something different had happened to them. They all acted differently.

Within a short while in school, Bimpe's story had gone round in the school and people shared their challenges with her and as she prayed for them, they saw results.

First Episode of Bimpe Story

A day came when Bimpe was to take the exhortation for the morning assembly. While she was speaking the place became charged with God’s presence that a student who had goitre was healed. Some other persons received healing in various parts of their body.

So many persons in her school gave their lives to Christ just because of Bimpe Story. She went as far as her neighborhood and continued preaching, teaching and praying for the sick during weekends.

So many were saved. It’s obvious that when situations seem dead and a man has come to his wit's end, that God shows up.

Hmm.…it’s obvious that GOD LOVES THE DEAD... the dead situation that makes his glory to be seen. Just like in the case of the Hebrew boys who were thrown into the fire and there was no hope for them in the eyes of man.

He turns around the situation that no one will ever know that it ever happened.

God knows all you are going through. Only come to the end of yourself (your effort) and he will arise for you.

Take note: He does as he pleases, for he knows what is best.

Dan 3:17-18

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us.…But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

She had been told that God will always protect his own, hence she was not bothered when the kidnappers had taken her, after she went preaching in her neighbourhood and was returning home by 4:30pm. She felt she would come out safely.

At night things took a different turn when one of her kidnappers who became horny and saw the need to relieve the tension in his lower abdomen came into her room.

Bimpe who was just 16 years thought it was a joke until he landed a slap on her face and spread her legs apart.

She prayed to God expecting lightening to strike him dead. She thought he will drop dead or probably run mad or even fall asleep. She thought "God knows I am a virgin and I want to remain so till I get married".

She struggled and kicked, but her strength was no match for her assailant. Another slap to her face stunned her and kept her a bit calm. She thought, " God, where are you?

As she lay on the ground, she felt the man penetrate her, "ahhhh...." she shouted as the sharp pain spread through her body. She winced in pain with clenched teeth as he continued to have his way.

He finished off with her and walked away. Bimpe was shocked with tears in her eyes. She could not believe she had been raped by her assailant. She thought God would have killed him during the act since he did not act before he penetrated her, but nothing happened.

Was God going to kill him after? Was God waiting for him to carry out the act. So it will be said that he had sinned? Was God going to kill him for touching his daughter?

God why? I have been faithful. I have preached the gospel. What have I done wrong? Several thoughts ran through her head, with no answers.

How will she still preach and tell people to remain chaste and wait for their wedding night? How? What if she gets pregnant what will people say? How will she handle it? God why? She laid on the ground and thought, indeed God must be wrong or I must be wrong. Yet she got no answers.

Bimpe cried through the night till she fell asleep. Two days later she was released with no reason. Her kidnappers could not bear to keep her, they felt evil will befall them. They dropped her off at a junction close to her house around 11pm and zoomed off.

She got home, and everyone was glad to see her. Her mother cried with tears of Joy, and praised God that her daughter was alive. She looked at her daughter's body and scanned for injuries, seeing none praised God the more.for answering her prayers. As she had been fasting and praying since the day her daughter was abducted. She was glad her daughter did not have any physical injury.

But if only she knew that her daughter was already bleeding on the inside from the incident that took away her virginity. She was bleeding in her soul from the incident that took away her virginity. She was dumbfounded and did not say a word. She thought, "which God was her mum praising, the God that failed her or was is it a different God".

She kept mute, took her bathe and stayed quiet believing that no one will know her plight. She had been cut in her heart and was bleeding profusely. Will she ever be able to heal?

Some persons by now would have also been asking God about Bimpe story by now. They would probably be wondering, "should we put our trust in God?"Can he really save his own? And so many other questions.

The way men view persecution is not the way God view things. We might feel, "God has failed me" but his plans are beyond our thought.

When God looks at a man he looks at what he will become in eternity. And not what he is currently. If a man is killed for the sake the gospel we should not be bothered so much because eternity is bigger than what we think. The mindset of men have been configured to "time". So we think he is dead and gone but to God, 200 years on earth is like 20 seconds.

Can you compare 20 seconds with 24 hours? Hmm....I am sure that it looks quite small. If you were told to wait for 20 seconds for you to receive an 1 billion dollars. I wonder who would complain. Some will even be willing to wait a month. This shows that the time spent on earth is negligible before God. Our main life is in eternity that is more than 1000 years. Sorry did I say 1000....it is more than 1 million. Hmm.... It is without end

The things that happens to us in this few 20 seconds of our life should not stop us from believing in God.

God protects his own when he deems fit. He chooses those he allows to live and those he wants to come home (heaven) to him. Sometimes, he is willing to save us but can not because we have not prayed but murmured. I will speak on this in another article.

When we consider that God had to let his own begotten son die, which we see as one of the worse things that can happen to man, it becomes obvious that God could allow a lot of things happen to believers for the sake of the gospel.

He did not hold the sins of those who killed his son against them. Instead the same person (Christ) they killed was the way to their salvation. Saul who went about killing people who where christians was also shown the same way to salvation as other christians.

Maybe you have not yet gotten it. Saul who also planting bombs (If it was in our own days) and beheading christians was also shown the same way to salvation. God did not hold any sin against him.

God is interested in that rapist being saved because his life in eternity will be in hell if he died that instant. The 20 seconds of that rapist should yield to eternal life and not death based on the choice of the rapist. Hence, God gives him more time to repent.

Peradventure he will become a greater than Paul in the Bible. Life in eternity matters more than 20 seconds on the earth.

When I consider how men like John Hus, John Wycliffe, Martin Luther and some other reformers were persecuted because of the gospel or for translating the Bible to various languages, I know that what matters most to God is that lives are being saved as the gospel is being preached.

And the men who are being killed have great rewards that will be beneficial to them in eternity. Since the 20 seconds we live on this earth is to amass great treasure that will be useful to us in eternity. God's silence is because he wants the wicked to change.

Everything that happens to us in life happens to our body which will definitely decay. Hence, we must be eternally conscious. Our lives on earth matters to him. But what is the benefit of a life, if souls are not saved?

When we are faced with cases of rape, armed robbery, false accusations and so on don't become angry and begin to ask God, "why me?". Instead, ask God, "what do you want me to learn from this circumstance?" Or what do you want me to do?

Please, do not say it was God that brought this evil upon you. God does not do evil as we see in the book of James. Instead he might use evil situations to bring forth goodness. Life circumstances happens to all humans. For Christ learnt obedience from the things he suffered.

God teaches Christians how to utilize the fire or challenges to bring out the best in us. He can use premarital sex which he hates to produce a child of honour and valour. Simply because they obeyed a principle of sperm meeting ovum.

Hmm...truly you must have seen that God sees persecution differently and you must do your best to stay steadfast. Learn all you can learn from the events in your life and encourage others.

In the next episode, I will write on how to overcome some certain challenges. Because we are not unaware of the devices of the devil.

I watched as two ladies who were obviously more than twenty years of age, carry some sets of plastic chairs up the stairs in church on their hands, as they were ushers. I watched from my duty post as I prepared my equipment for the service since I was in the Technical department. The ladies began to lament as they tried to catch their breath, that the chairs were heavy and they should call guys to carry the chairs. I tried to understand what made few seats heavy.

While they lamented, I watched a small boy who was obviously not up to 9 years of age, carry few pieces of chairs just like the ladies up the stairs on his head without much struggle and without complaining. At that point, I knew something was wrong. How was it possible for a small boy whose strength was not as much as those matured ladies, to lift those chairs up the stairs without complaining?

While I observed, it became clear, and I saw what they ladies had done wrong because it was evident that they would have beaten that small boy black and blue without much effort if he had done something wrong.

The Right Point.

The small boy carried his chairs on his head, hence giving him balance. The ladies carried theirs on their hands hence making them go out of breath, as it seemed heavier and weighed them down as they ascended the stairs. Whatever their reasons, which I might not be so sure but they felt, it was not right for them to put the chairs on their head. Well, I will say they were showing off or in our local parlance, we will say “they wanted to do yanga or were forming or doing guy” or maybe they did not want their clothes to get dirty. Though I doubt the chairs were dirty.

Several persons in life are struggling to get to the top simply because they have not understood life’s balance. Some persons are carrying the challenges of life in the wrong way, to the wrong persons and to the wrong places. So, even if, they make it to the top they would have wasted a lot of resources they never imagined they would have spent. Some will eventually not even get to the top because they will simply give up and say this job or work is not for me, causing them to change career path severally and still not make success in any of them.

When it comes to finding a balance in life, there will be so many things that will make you thinks that its not possible, some of them will be ego, the fear of the unknown, what will people say and so many more but you must learn to put all these aside. That young boy did not care about anybody but it looked as if the ladies cared about so many things. Maybe they cared about what will become of their hair, or what people will think of them carrying chairs and all these happened quite early even before people had come to church, as only workers were in the church.

Irrespective of who is watching you, God expects us to find the balance with wisdom he has deposited on our inside and utilize it. People will always want to reckon with success and not with failure.

The Right Place.

Some persons are carrying their vision to the wrong place and expecting success to come in reality but funny enough, they will only see that success in their dreams and never in reality. Where are you taking your own vision to?

The Right Persons.

As much as God is willing to place men on our paths to success, we must be sensitive to know the right persons. When Jesus turned water into wine, he asked them to give the wine to the steward and not anyone else. If it had been giving to someone else, the sweetness of the wine would not have been known, probably because they would have been too drunk to know. And even if they were not drunk, it was not in their place to address the guest at the wedding. The steward was the master of ceremony, hence was charge of the wedding. Always locate the right person if you must achieve success.

The Right Way.

It is possible for the child to have carried those chairs and still use it to block his view. Which could have even caused him to trip on the stairs. As much as emphasis could be placed on putting it in the right place, we must not neglect the how. We must be conscious of how we bring about the fulfillment of our vision.

The Right Time.

There are times that would never be right for us to do things even if these things are a hundred percent right. This is because the timing is wrong. The time we do things is important lest, the things we do will be taken for granted.

Wrong Mindset.

I could imagine the thoughts running through the minds of the ladies as they ascended the stairs, “why should I be carrying the chairs, are they not too heavy, am I a guy?”, and you can guess the others. Even if, God has placed you in a place for your to do exploits and you begin to doubt the capabilities he has given to you, it won’t be long before you give up. God always makes provision for every vision. Trust me there must have been other ladies who have been carrying those chairs before them. But these one doubted what was placed in them. We must learn how to always look inwards first before looking outwards.

Joyous Heart.

One more lesson we can pick from this story about lack of balance is the fact that the small boy was joyous and did not consider who was to do it. He did it from his heart. Whatever our hands find doing, we must do it unto the Lord, in every aspect of life; business and career inclusive. If they had worked with their heart definitely, they would not have given up easily. It’s evident that when balance is lacking, people give up easily.

That small boy did well because he understood life’s balance in all aspect though he was quite young. We must gain understanding and wisdom if we must do well all round lest, we give up on our vision.

The Importance of Value.

John walked up to Adah, and with a smile asked about the drink she took. It seemed to John that she had good knowledge of what the restaurant had to offer. He was not wrong as she spoke about the various dishes that they had since she was a frequent user of the restaurant. John loved the way she handled his question. It was obvious to him that she would be a good sales personnel and also a good friend to keep. Well, so he thought....

Two months later, he and Adah were still friends, not because he was interested in the food the restaurant had to offer but because of the values Adah had to offer. He was not the type who was willing to jump quickly into conclusion, but truth be told he had an eye for Adah.

His observations were not wrong as it became obvious to him that Adah had 70 percent of the qualities he needed in a wife, the rest he felt he could actually groom her to become. This gave him satisfaction, hence he decided to take a shot.

He sat in the fast food restaurant, where the atmosphere was filled with the aroma of wonderfully made snack which a hungry man could not resist with Adah sitting opposite him. He had met Adah at other restaurant before to discuss business but today was definitely a different type of business.

Taking the Shot.

He popped the question to Adah after beating around the bush a bit romantically and asked her, if she will be his date: since, he was willing to get married in a year and half. Ada had smiled, and politely told John, "I am in a serious relationship and it won't be possible."

John found it difficult to accept, though he knew that she was not lying but he sincerely wanted her as his wife. He tried other ways to convince her but Adah was faithful to her relationship and was not willing to give in.

John accepted his fate, and was lucky enough to find another lady who met his need in a woman. Within a year and half they got married but he still remained friends with Adah as she helped him out with his business ideas occasionally.

Wrong Intention for Staying in a Relationship.

After four years, Adah was still not married but was currently dating someone different from whom she had told John she was in a serious relationship with. It was obvious to her, that her current date was not showing prospects of marrying her or doing something reasonable to change his financial status.

But Adah was not willing to leave as she kept having hope. She felt things will turn out for the best. Besides she was not willing to let go the time she had invested in the relationship. For her, she saw it as a waste of time. Hence, the need for her to stick to the relationship and make it to work.

While she focused her energy on the relationship, she rejected several suitors without seeing the need to pray as she was a Christian. Rather she kept her hopes up and hoped her predicament will come to an end.

Misplaced Priorities in a Relationship.

Adah had been MARRIED BEFORE MARRIAGE. She placed the commitment meant for her marriage in a relationship. She was bringing her future into the present, hence acting faster than her shadow and also jeopardizing her future. The future meant for the serious. A future that was already known by God. Her emotions was all that led her.

The place of God had been substituted because she felt that God would want her to handle the situation alone and not get him involved. Her thoughts and action was making her get older without truly making her achieve her destiny faster. Since, her getting married was pertinent in the achievement of her dreams.

A lot of ladies have found themselves in this same shoe and are currently struggling but until you put an end to that relationship and take the bold step towards your God-given suitor, you might never fulfil destiny on time.

It's God's will that you seek his face when suitors come to you. Even if you are in a relationship. Unless, if God has told you that the person you are in a relationship with, will be your husband.

The Right Time to Switch.

God might permit you to be in a relationship because he wants you to learn something does not mean that he wants you, to get married to that person. Be sensitive because the two instructions are not the same.

Understand, when the instruction has changed, and don't try to force meaning into God's instructions. Sometimes, he might ask you to make a lady your friend because he wants you to teach her what you know, and not because he wants you to marry that lady.

Do not be like Prophet Agabus who became emotional with the prophecy God gave him about Apostle Paul (Acts 21:10-14). Forgetting that God only sent him to prophesy and not to stop Paul. Christians are called to be led by the Holy Spirit and not by their thought or emotion.

Stop being MARRIED BEFORE MARRIAGE.

Some persons are molested at work or have had colleagues at work make sexual advances towards them. Truth be said, some of this advances might not be stopped outrightly but can be reduced to the barest minimum with strict company regulations.

As a Christians, we must be prepared or know how to handle sexual advances to avoid being hurt. There are several ways in which this can be achieved and they include:

1. Take Your Stand

It's obvious that some persons become victims because they do not want to take a stand as a Christian. People at their place of work will not believe that they are Christians because they get involved in financial malpractice or are found saying profane words. Hence, they can't be classified as Christians by their colleagues. And colleagues at work will feel okay to make sexual advances.

2. Dress How You Want to be Addressed.

Don't expect to put on skimpy clothes at work as a lady and not expect people to make funny comments. It's only for a while before those comments will change to actions. The same also applies to men, who must ensure they do not put on extremely tight fitting clothes.

3. Keep the Glances and Words.

Some persons make seductive glances in a way of being friendly but unknown to them, they are actually stirring up lustful fire. Guys and ladies must also be careful about the words they say to their colleagues at work because people read different meaning to words. Words like sweetie, honey pie, babe, etc should be used with caution as words could be misinterpreted.

4. Make Your Stand Known When Going on a Business Trip.

Let your boss know that you can not share the same room, but in a polite manner. "Sir, I will be booking two rooms in the company name". And if possible let them be far apart from each other unless it is necessary for them to be close together. And keep your room locked. Don't answer the door unless the receptionist calls to inform of room service.

5. Pause the Lunch

If you notice that your boss is making unnecessary moves towards you avoid going on lunch with him alone. If you must go then it must be strictly business or you must take someone else with you. You can politely decline the offer, "Sir/Ma I actually came with my own food and I would not want it to waste".

6. Do Not Stay Late.

If you must work late, ensure that there are others around. Don't work late with someone who has looked at you lustfully. Discourage every move that will lead to sex or sexual advances. You can politely make you boss know that you have a church service to attend or a child to take care of.

7. Keep to the Job Description.

There is nothing wrong in helping your boss out on a personal note. But it must have a limit. Do not become a personal driver for a woman who already has her eyes on you. If you must do so it must be done with utmost discretion. Give your boundaries and make it difficult for her.

8. Keep the Distance.

When it's evident that a colleague has dirty plans for you, do not hug him or her, rather use a hand shake or just greet him or her without contact. You won't be jailed, if you don't hug someone or shake someone.

9. Avoid Lonely Places.

If you must go to lonely places at work, then go with someone you can trust not someone who has already given you lustful gestures. If you must go with him or her, then go with one additional person you can trust.

10. Speak Out

When someone touches you sexually be it your bust, waist or buttocks, warn such person sternly never to try such again. If he does not want to be reported to the police or to the disciplinary committee, if the company has one. If it's your boss also warn him and make him realise that you expected more from him as your boss, and that you believe he made a mistake. Do not be rude.

11. Choose your Association Wisely.

Do not expect to stay with a pig and not expect to be treated like a pig. Watch the friends you make or keep. If you keep friends who tend to have affairs with colleagues at work. Expect others to also think that you are also part of their game.

12. Leave, if you Must.

Take a bow and walk away, if you noticed that every thing you have done has not been successful. Its best to keep your integrity and chastity as a Christian but this must be done in prayers as God always directs his own on the righteous path.

Stolen waters is said to be sweet but can actually become bitter when the thief is found.

A lot of persons are pushed or cajoled into having sex with a partner at work. And for some, sometimes they are seduced. Some do not have an option as they could be sacked if they refuse. And for some, it's simply a time for pleasure for both partners.

This article is written for Christians. Some men and even women are seduced with sexual advances from their subordinates and sometimes they resist and at other times, they fall. The subordinates who know what they are doing are quite tactical about their seduction. From their dresses to their speech and also to their actions.

The bosses have to go through a lot to say no to such advances. There are several ways to tackle such issues and I will be sharing some of them.

1. Lust
The boss who knows he is a target must first work on himself. No man can be drawn by what he does not desire. You can't poison or drug me with coffee, if I don't take it. It's pertinent for every Christian to deal with lust in his or her life. This applies to both the married and unmarried. Marriage does not take away lust. As long as lust resides in your heart. You are bound to fall. Deal with this by working on your mindset through the word and prayer.

2. Eliminate Your Physical Desires
If you are the one in charge of employing your staff that works under you. Ensure that those that work close you, do not have the specification or attributes that you desire in a man or a woman. Having such around you will cause you to consider having an affair with him or her. If you do not have control over this. Deal with lust as this is the foundation of it all.

3. Change the Dressing Rule.
For a secretary, who you know, loves to show her boobs and put on skimpy gown. Tell her you prefer working with people who are modest and you would prefer if she can put on clothes that would cover her boob's properly as this will help you avoid distraction in order for you to meet to your work target.

4. Tell Your Boundaries.
Let your subordinates know your boundaries. Laugh when necessary and be strict when necessary especially when dealing with them on a social ground. Do not give room for unnecessary closeness especially for those who are married. When they act seductively, do not pay attention or simply become extremely serious about the matter that has been presented to your. Never give your emotions away.

5. Do Not Go Visiting Alone.
If you must visit a colleague at work, who you think you might have desires for, no matter how serious it is, take someone with you. Never go alone. And try as much as possible to avoid even going unless it's is crucial in the case of a sick colleague.

6. Lunch Break.
If you must take a colleague out on lunch break ensure, it is done with other colleagues of yours never give him or her the impression that you are interested.

7. Travel With the Unattractive.
If you must take a business trip ensure you go with someone who you have no desires for. If possible a male, if you are a man and vice versa.

8. Change of Department.
If you are the employer or you have the power to change her department. Then do so, to help yourself at least till the affection fades away.

9. Ask him/her to Leave.
If you can't control your desires, then ask the individual to go and get another. But do it in an understanding way. Let her know by giving her warnings about her speeches or attitudes: if these are the reasons for you having an affair with her/him.

Note: Please this must be the last option on the list as you can not keep sacking people because of your lack of self control. You must understand that a family might go hungry because of your action. If you are not the employer and you can't change her/his department deal with lust. For this reason was Christ manifested, to destroy the works of the devil.

The Pain.

Eneni was shocked and could not believe it. It still sounded like a dream, how could Dave will seventy (70) percent of his properties to him. It sounded strange, nobody would do that to his friend. When he had family members. The other (thirty) 30 percent had gone to his younger sister.

He stared at the note that had been handed over to him. He found out that Dave had built a house for him in the city and the documents had been written in his name. He was still finding it difficult to believe. He begun to understand in bits why Dave had called him his brother.

He was grateful for all Dave had done but he was not willing to sign the documents to take over the company and the rest of the properties.

Eneni had made his decision. The creek was the way out. He felt it would be impossible for him to get accustomed to life in the city, he preferred the creeks.

He went back and continued his business in the creeks. His business kept growing as he got more clients who were willing to buy crude oil. His name kept growing too. As he was seen as a ruthless man in business who did not tolerate laxity in his deals.

People kept coming from the Chambers of Dave's lawyer to convince him but still, he was not moved nor perturbed. His life in the creek was important than any other thing. Representatives were also sent from the company but he still took his stand.

The Deal.

Three years after Dave's death the company continued with it's activities and it's ownership could not be transferred because Dave had stated that it could only happen if Eneni was dead. The managers carried out their duties effectively, hoping Eneni would either die or will accept the company.

Eneni took a ship and went to strike deal with a client. Along the way, the ship broke down and had to be fixed. It took about thirty minutes to fix the ship. As he approached his client ship where the meeting was to take place, he noticed another ship quite close it. He asked his captain to stop the ship and got a clearer view with his telescope.

Within three minutes, he heard gun shots and explosions. Some persons jumped into the sea as debris flew into the air. He asked his captain to change course and turn back to the creeks. He was shocked.

What would have happened if he had been thirty minutes earlier? He definitely would have been on that ship holding his meeting. Who could have decided to eliminate him? Was he now a target? Were his people now disloyal? He took out time to think but was not getting any positive answer.

Dead or Alive

Eneni's Intel whom he had sent to get information about what happened from the escaped victims, walked in after knocking on the door. He told him that the ship was gunned down by the Navy because the ship had been involved in pirate activities in the past and had escaped the Navy when they were almost caught looting another ship of it's crude oil.

The Navy had tried to arrest the crew when they opened fire on them and that was when the Navy decided to gun down their ship.

Eneni breathed with a sigh of relief, at least he was a bit safe for the moment. But the thoughts of the fact that he would have been killed in an explosion kept going through his mind. He felt uncomfortable and wondered what will be his fate in his business of he could not enjoy his wealth.

After pondering over the issue for three days, It dawned on him that he could get himself involved in other business. He realised that he could get a degree in the university and live a comfortable life.

It was in his thoughts that he remembered how Dave enjoyed his wealth without fear and he wondered why he shouldn't leave his own life in comfort and peace.

Change of Mindset.

Eneni pondered about Dave's offer for the first time and in the midst of his thoughts he realized he had been wasting his time. He looked for the letters that been brought to him by members of the Chambers where Dave's lawyer worked and members of the company.

After going through the letters, he called the lawyer and told him he would be signing the documents. A date was fixed in which the lawyer told him all that he needed to know. After which he signed the necessary documents.

It is obvious that there so many person who are just like Eneni who have refused to see all that Christ has done in coming to save them. How he died because of the love he has for you and even after his death, sent people to talk to you. Most of whom you turned them down several times because of your selfish interest.

Why delay in taking what he has kept for you. Only BELIEVE in the FINISHED WORK of CHRIST and enjoy the riches of his grace which came because of his death, burial and ressurection. Don't wait for the moment of death, it might be too late.

Eneni went to Dave's company and took over the helm of affairs. He was given a warm welcome.

He understood after a while that life in the city was better off than leaving as a gangster in the creeks He eventually went to the university, were he studied Public Administration.
