The Bond.
Eneni left the next morning after thanking Dave for his kind gesture and hospitality. It truly was an experience to remember. Though, he told himself that luxury was good but felt it just wasn't time for him to settle down. He had quite a lot to do in the creek.
Dave had hinted him on how he became quite successful before the age of twenty five and told him he could also become better if he would focus. He also told Eneni that he was willing to help him because he saw him as a younger brother that he did not have. But Eneni declined the offer and told him that he was good.
Dave kept calling Eneni form time to time to ensure he was doing well but Eneni only saw him as a friend and was not willing to accept him as a brother.

An Extra Move for a Friend.
After months had passed by, Dave decided to pay Eneni a visit in the creek but first called him to inform him. It was a thing of pleasure for him, and he gladly welcomed his visitor and treated him to fresh fish pepper soup, which Dave enjoyed.
Dave continued to visit him from time to time and kept reminding him of the need to come to the city but Eneni remained adamant and just did not see the need for it at the moment.
Eneni had always told Dave to always call before coming so he does not come to see his absence, since he could be out on the sea. He had given this excuse to Dave but never told Dave the danger he could be in, of he was not informed.
Unknown to Dave every single time he had to pay a visit, Eneni had to inform his cult boys about his visit hence, he came into the creek undisturbed. And was as well guarded. As a matter of fact, Dave was known as Eneni's friend and no one dared to harrass him in his village.
The Clash.
Dave had finished a meeting by 1:00pm and was heading home, but decided to say hello to Eneni since the route he took was not more than fifteen minutes drive from where Eneni stayed.
But on that fateful day, two cult groups had a clash and everyone coming into the village was an enemy. Dave who was unaware of the incident was caught in an ambush and before he could say "Jack Robinson" was shot three times in the head and four times in his chest.
Dave lost his life in seeking for the good of Eneni, it was a painful story for Eneni and for the first time as an adult, he felt pain for the loss of a life. He felt bad that his friend had not informed him before coming.

He took vengeance for his friend by killing members of the rival cult but this did not bring his friend back to life. His burial was attended by Eneni and his friends. At the burial, Dave's lawyer told him that he would love to have him around when the will was being read to which he obliged.
